Welcome to our church.
HIGH COUNTRY CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE
We are a Great Commission church.
As a global community of faith, we are commissioned to take the good news of life in Jesus Christ to people everywhere and to spread the message of scriptural holiness across the lands.
The Church of the Nazarene bonds together individuals who have made Jesus Christ Lord of their lives, sharing in Christian fellowship, and seeking to strengthen each other in faith development through worship, preaching, training, and service to others.
We strive to express the compassion of Jesus Christ to all persons along with our personal commitment to Christlike living. While the primary motive of the church is to glorify God, WE ALSO ARE CALLED TO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN HIS MISSION - RECONCILING THE WORLD TO HIMSELF.
The statement of mission contains historical essentials of our mission: EVANGELISM, SANCTIFICATION, DISCIPLESHIP, COMPASSION. The essence of holiness is Christlikeness. Nazarenes are becoming a sent people-into homes, work places, communities, and villages as well as other cities and countries.
Missionaries are now sent from all regions of the world. GOD CONTINUES CALLING ORDINARY PEOPLE TO DO
EXTRAORDINARY THINGS made possible by the person of the Holy Spirit.
Meet Daniel and LaRae!
Daniel and LaRae Seifert
Daniel and LaRae Seifert came to High Country Church of the Nazarene in May, 2026 from the Front Range of Colorado. They brought with them a unique blend of experience in music and teaching ministries, mediation, and mentoring; as well as Daniel’s years of involvement in corporate leadership. Daniel and LaRae have already come to love the Arkansas Valley, and the friendly and welcoming community of Buena Vista, and are excited to be a part of the work God is doing here. They have been married since 1994, and have two adult daughters, Julianne and Natalie.
JoAnn Vineyard
Pastor JoAnn was called to ministry in 1985, at the age of 40. She moved to Colorado to attend Nazarene Bible College, graduating in 1995. After being ordained in 1997, she traveled around the United States and Africa as an evangelist and volunteer missionary. JoAnn has been on seven overseas missions trips, traveling with a ministry partner as M&J Ministries. During that time, she recorded two CDs of music to use as a fundraising opportunity to support the ministry.
As Associate Pastor, she is responsible for leading worship; coordinating volunteers; maintaining the prayer chain; and “anything else that needs doing.” She also serves as the Vice President of the Nazarene Missions International Council for
the Colorado District.
Thank you for your generous donation!
